JOHN BORDEN GABB MULTI_MEDIA ARTIST

Art is my passion. I have drawn or painted since I was old enough to hold a pencil and the first gift Santa brought me was a Winsor Newton watercolor set.
Throughout the years I have studied with many different artists, either individually or in workshops, and they have all contributed to my development as an artist. It is for this reason I believe why I paint in many different styles.
 
I was not fortunate enough to earn my living as an artist, therefore I spent all of my working life in corporate America. I continued to paint and draw whenever I had the time always with the dream that some day I would retire and open a studio and gallery. Five years ago I realized this dream when I retired to Effingham Illinois and built Brush Hill and Gallery.I now divide my time between teaching and creating art.
My art is now in collections throughout the United States. Portraiture and figurative paintings are my first love, but when you brouse my body of work you will see that I paint a wide variety of subjects and in a wide vatiety of media.
